Allen and Kellie’s love story began over winter break in 2021, proving that the best things in life often happen when you least expect them. Both students at Purdue University, their paths hadn’t crossed until a serendipitous trip to sunny Florida.

Kellie was visiting her friend Ashley in Naples, while at the same time, Allen was enjoying a getaway with friends in Marco Island. Thanks to Ashley, a mutual friend, they met for the first time and they all enjoyed a chilly but beautiful day out on the water.

After a fun day at the beach, as they were heading back on the boat, Kellie boldly asked Allen if she could drive. To her surprise, Allen so graciously agreed, handing her the wheel without hesitation and helping her when needed (there was a lot of help).

They started dating soon after the Florida trip, survived two years of long distance, and are now living in downtown Indy!
