FLIGHTS

While travelling through the Lisbon airport, please ensure you arrive at least 2 hours before your flight. After security you will enter Duty Free and then lounge with restaurants and shopping, please note, this is not the final stop before your gate. After Duty Free you will proceed through Passport Control prior to accessing your gate. This can take anywhere from 15 - 90 minutes, depending on the length of the line. Canadian Passports have the option to go through either of the first two lines. Boarding begins 1 hour before your flight departure time, even if your boarding pass indicates otherwise. Gates close 30 minutes before your flight and they are extremely strict with this.

ACCOMMODATIONS

We recommend that you book your accommodations for the nights of August 1 and 2 closer to the wedding venue, as opposed to staying in Lisbon. Lisbon is about a 30-60 minute car ride from the venue in Cascais and rush hour traffic can be quite heavy, especially during tourist season.

CAR RENTALS

There are inexpensive car rental services located just outside of the airport. DiscoverCars.com offers great daily rates for many smaller rental companies, from $10 CAD per day. They offer shuttle services that usually arrive every 15-minutes. Pickup is located in near the Vodafone store on level 1 in the Arrivals lounge.
