New Orleans is a destination city so there are hotels and Airbnbs everywhere.
If you want to stay in the heart of everything and don’t mind some craziness, the French Quarter is for you.
If you don’t like people stay on the outskirts of the French Quarter.
If you want peace, quiet, and to be surrounded by wealth, stay in the garden district.
I have had some luck in the past staying in the neighborhoods with no issues but be Smart and read reviews because areas of New Orleans can be a little sketchy.
How do I get around?
New Orleans is a Uber friendly city and it’s quite easy to hail a ride at any time any place.
They also have a trolley system that goes from the river all the way to Audubon Park. If you want to see some unique houses, this is a great option.. you can access tickets by downloading the app “le pass” if I remember correctly, it’s two dollars a ride and runs till about 10 o’clock.
I have kids, what is there to do?
While, places like bourbon Street are probably not the best to take your children. You can go on literally any other street New Orleans is full of art music and historic architecture. There are several museums, an aquarium, a zoo, swamps, and spectacular parks.

Whatever shall I wear?
The wedding ceremony will be outside in a park and then the dinner will be quasi fancy. We couldn’t care less what you wear, but do with that info as you wish. The bride loves outlandish attire so bonus points if you want to be daring.. especially eccentric hats… it is New Orleans after all. The restaurant does have a dress code of no t-shirts, flip-flops, slides, activewear, swimwear, nor ballcaps.
