DRIVING TO SNOWSHOE There are several possible routes from every direction, so you can choose between scenic back roads, midway historic points of interest, or just getting here and getting on with the fun.&nbsp;The main thing to remember is that our rugged location can make GPS and smartphone maps less reliable than you may be accustomed to. And cell services are limited, so you’ll want to do some pre-road trip planning and trust those turn-by-turn directions. If you’re coming from the North, you’ll pass through Elkins which is the biggest town in the area and the last major stop for groceries. It’s also home to Big Timber Brewing, which is a local favorite atop the mountain. Make a stop, stretch your legs, and grab some craft beers to enjoy on the mountain. If you’re coming from the East or West, you’ll likely pass through Marlinton which is about 45 minutes from the top of the mountain. It’s a great little town with some fun spots for lunch coffee. On a sunny day, there’s nothing better than sitting on the deck of the Greenbrier Grille and enjoying fantastic views of the Greenbrier River. Or, if you need a quick cup of coffee and lunch on the go, visit Dirt Bean which is located right in the middle of town. And for those of you taking Route 66 up the mountain, you can’t miss the historic town of&nbsp;<a href="http:" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cass, WV.</a>&nbsp;Just 20 minutes from the top of the mountain, this beautiful riverside town holds the history of logging on Cheat Mountain. Stop by the Last Run Restaurant and The Cass Company Store to pick up lunch, gifts, and memorabilia.

The fun pass is available for purchase through Snowshoe (link below). The fun pass gives you access to many of the amenities on site. These include: access to the Split Rocks pools and hot tubs in the Village; scenic lift rides; and access to Shavers Lake beach activities (including paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, kids playground, and access to the beach area).

Scenic Lift Rides

The resort’s 11,000-acre backcountry is home to a wide variety of unique trails that take full advantage of the mountain’s drastic landscape. A favorite is the hike to the fire tower!

The lake area includes a beach with chairs and umbrellas, swimming area, picnic tables, playground, a restaurant, disc golf, water inflatables, and access to kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards!

Less than a five-minute walk from the Corduroy Inn is the Village, where there are several shops, bars, coffee shops, and dining options. The Village is also accessible by shuttle.
