We met at the gym. Brad was there only on Tuesdays where we began with looks, progressed to hello’s and goodbye’s until one day (a couple months in) we needed the same machine. Kelly took the initiative but Brad asked for her phone number and they had their first date.
Although it was a great first date, Kelly thought the age gap meant they should probably just be friends and they did become that! Talking for hours on FaceTime while cooking food or cleaning their houses. They got to know everything about one another and it was clear they had something worth keeping.
Brad then took the initiative to tell her how he felt and ask if she would be more than just friends and she said yes. Since then Kelly has learned age doesn’t determine how well one can love or communicate and she has found a best friend in him. Brad loves her ability to talk in depth about anything in life and cherishes her kind heart!
Knowing they could no longer see life without one another, Brad got down on one knee on October 5th and asked her to marry him. She stalled out for at least 5 seconds because she was stunned by the ring, but ultimately said yes!
They both feel blessed to have God bring them together and thankful to have their family and friends to celebrate their marriage and the beginning of their lives together!
