Our Wedding

Thank you to all who supported us through the wedding process, and the start of our marriage. We are so grateful to all who were able to attend or send us well wishes, and are so excited to share with you all a taste of our special day. As anyone who has ever planned an event can attest, it takes a team effort for everything to come together. We wanted to take a few brief moments to give a shout out to our amazing vendors who are helping to make our wedding vision a possibility, and this a day we won't soon forget. We are truly blessed to work with these amazing individuals.

From the first time we spoke on the phone we KNEW Elise would be the only planner for us. Her mentality, energy, and vision were a direct reflection of us. Arielle and Ben have been truly wonderful human beings to work and play with. From our first emails and phone calls talking about Harry Potter, The Office, and our mutual love of the Pacific Northwest, we knew these were the perfect couple to share and document our special day. From when I first started researching local wedding dress shops I had a feeling that Charlotte's would be where I found my forever dress. The sales staff we worked with were incredibly accommodating in scheduling our appointment and making adjustments based on our group's availability. After being in each other’s lives for over 8 years we’re so happy and proud to announce we’re tying the knot! Having first met in 2013 through mutual friends, Kelly and Walter quickly became friends. After nights spent at the local pool hall, trips to Barbara's Fish Trap for corn fritters, and visits to the wonderful beer garden Gourmet Haus Staudt, the friendship grew into something far better. Our relationship quickly grew, and it was in May 2015 that we decided to embark on a new adventure and find a place we could create a life together. In September 2015 we happily moved in together in Portland, OR and have been so blessed to call the Pacific Northwest "Home" ever since. While we have continued to grow as individuals and as partners for the past 7+ years, we are overjoyed to be taking the next step in our journey together. This wonderful place we now call home has allowed us to enjoy trips to the snowy Mt. Hood, walks along the water front, so many restaurants with the most delectable food, drives to the Oregon coast, and some truly wonderful memories. We are so excited to be getting married in this city we call home, and in fact in the very place we got engaged! While the pandemic continues to pose it’s own challenges, we look forward to celebrating with you all, either in person or virtually as conditions allow. For those of our family and friends who we are able to join together with in person later this year, we hope to share with you a taste of our life here in Portland and sharing some memories of the PNW with all of you.

Q: What is the schedule of events? A: Due to the pandemic, we are not currently planning on hosting any other weekend events/activities other than the wedding. If you would like to get together with some of the other guests over the weekend there are a list of our favorite restaurants, hotels, and other Portland hot spots in the "Things to Do" section of our web page. Please be sure to adhere to all local guidelines related to the current pandemic. Wedding Timeline:- Wedding to begin promptly at 4:30 p.m. (guests may arrive as early as 4:00 p.m.).- Ceremony to be followed by a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, more cocktails (because, why not?), and dancing/games.- Event intended to end around 10pm-11pm pending current state/local restrictions.

Q: What is the dress code for this event? A: The dress code is cocktail attire. We are excited to see our friends and loved ones all jazzed up, but do still want you to be comfortable. This will be a November wedding in Portland so it will be a little cold, but the wedding and reception will both be held indoors. Ladies are encouraged to wear cocktail dresses, and gentlemen are asked to wear a suit and tie or slacks with button up shirt and sport coat.PLEASE NOTE: State and county mandates requiring masks have been re-instituted at this time, and guests are asked to wear masks (in accordance with state guidelines). Please see the COVID Updates page for further details.

Q: Are children welcome? ﻿A: While we love your little ones, the wedding and wedding venue are designed to be an adults only environment. The Library is advising no guests under the age of 21.

Q: Can I bring a plus one? A: Our wedding is RSVP only, and we will only be able to accommodate those individuals explicitly listed on your invitation. We hope those unable to attend in person will join us virtually or to celebrate at a future date.

Q: Can I RSVP online? A: At this time we don’t yet have an online RSVP option, but we will update this section if that becomes available.

Q: When do you need your RSVP back? A: Great question! As we are doing all we can to ensure that as many friends and loved ones as possible are able to attend, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you are or are not able to attend so we can plan accordingly. The ideal deadline for your RSVP is September 26, 2021, while the absolute deadline for your RSVP is October 20, 2021.

Q: What time should I arrive? A: We encourage our guests to arrive prior to the start of the ceremony at 4:30p.m. Guests are welcome in the library as early as 4:00p.m.

Q: Where should we park? A: There are numerous areas nearby that allow street parking (but please be sure to read all appropriate signage to prevent ticketing/tow). There are also numerous hotels within walking distance of the venue. If you are looking specifically for a parking garage, we recommend parking at the First Presbyterian Church underground parking garage (1200 SW Alder St, Portland, OR 97205), however please reach out to them directly to confirm availability (https://ccplots.myparkingworld.com/CCP/en?latlng=45.5230622,-122.67648159999999#details=61,263). Parking is also available at the Hyatt Centric next door to the venue (https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/oregon/hyatt-centric-downtown-portland/pdxct/maps-parking-transportation). Please note, pricing for parking at the library on the Hyatt website is exclusively for Multnomah Whiskey Library paid members, not related to our event.

Q: I have dietary restrictions. What will the menu be, and how can I make a request for accommodation for my dietary needs?   A: The main meal entrees will be herb crusted turkey breast and pork loin, with sides of parmesan fried cauliflower and herb roasted potatoes. Meals will be served family style by table. For dessert, there will be red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting or a vanilla cake with vanilla bean custard, as well as a few of our favorite donut flavors from a local vendor. Q: Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?? A: Definitely! We are very excited about our guests being able to take photographs to remember the evening. Please note that this will be an unplugged ceremony and we do politely insist that photos not be taken during the ceremony, father/daughter dance, first dance, or mother/son dance. Please be respectful during these moments and allow yourselves to be fully with us in person rather than through your phone screen. We are proud to partner with our professional photography/videography team (Pacific NW Imagery) who will be capturing these moments for us and will happily share them with all of you after this special day. At this time the state of Oregon has lifted the gathering size restrictions, however have reintroduced a state wide indoor mask mandate. Masks are required anywhere you will be indoors in the State of Oregon. Additionally, masks are now required outdoors only when you will be unable to ensure social distancing.   At this time 70% of Oregon has been vaccinated. While the state of emergency is still active, this is now focused on addressing the recovery for the state and ensuring the delta and lamda variants remain under control.   Additionally, the venue (Multnomah Whiskey Library) was recently listed in an article as one of several local Portland restaurants that are requiring proof of vaccination for indoor dining. The venue has confirmed that at this time they are requiring proof of vaccination for all guests who are indoors at their venue, including for private events. We understand that not all people we are inviting may be vaccinated, and we understand if you are unable to join given this venue requirement.   While we hope that no future restrictions are put in place, if any new limitations regarding our wedding are announced notice will be sent out to our guests by email. If you would like to make sure we have the best email address on file for you, please don't hesitate to reach out at cascino2bell@gmail.com. Guests may want to consider flight insurance should future restrictions limit the number of guests we can have attend in person.   Please know, we are continuing to monitor the situation on an ongoing basis to determine the best course of action regarding our wedding.
