Our Wedding

Kelly and Charlie first met in 2011 at the end of August at a dive bar in Chicago called Galway Bay. Charlie (fueled by what he claims to be copious amounts of whiskey) introduced himself to Kelly while she was play darts with several of her girlfriends. He must have spit some serious game but she gave him her phone number. When he called to ask her out two days later, they found out about their similar backgrounds of having been raised in Ohio but with both of their families split between Michigan and Chicago. Charlie's brother and sister-in-law even lived only 15 minutes from Kelly's parents in the suburbs of Detroit! She decided to go on a date with him and the rest was history.Charlie decided to accept a job in Toronto only a few months after that, so for 9 months Kelly was able to visit him in Canada, and Charlie was able to visit with her in Chicago and also in Michigan for the holidays that year.In August of 2012 Charlie, knowing that Kelly was obviously worth it, chose to accept a new job back in Chicago where they could be together. Charlie proposed to Kelly in May of 2016 a month before they closed on their first home and they are beyond excited to be starting a new chapter as married home owners in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood!
