Nathan and I met online on February 3, 2024. We'd both had profiles on this platform for less than 3 days when we matched with each other. Both of our settings allowed us to match with people within a 100-mile radius. Well, he just happened to go to Savannah for a couple hours while I was sitting at home, and we matched in that short time frame.

Within minutes of our first messages, Nathan sent me his information so that we could send videos and photos back and forth, and we talked about our favorite music (his being Dave Matthews & John Mayer and mine being Glee, ha ha). He also quickly shared with me how important his faith is to him and clearly stated the gospel. I knew he was a keeper right away!

2 weeks later, we met in person in Statesboro, GA, which was halfway between Moultrie and Charleston. We had dinner at Gnat's Landing, spent Saturday doing a selfie walk around town, and spent the evening singing karaoke at Eagle Creek. I sang the song I always sing: "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" by Whitney Houston. That night, we both knew we were absolutely in love! And the rest is history.

The weekend of the anniversary when we first met, we decided to take a trip to Statesboro and re-visit the weekend.

We recreated our first date, going to dinner in the same spot and even re-ordering the fried pickles (that was my first in-person sign he was the one for me)! Then, we went on the selfie walk we did the first time, grabbed coffee, did some shopping, and later went to karaoke. I had NO CLUE he was going to propose until he told me to come up to the stage.

We then drove to St. Matthews to surprise my family and came back to his family the same night to a surprise family dinner complete with celebratory donuts and signs. And, of course, we shared the news with Benjamin! He’s excited to be the ring puppy!
