Their love for rugby led them to finding their forever teammate.

Kelly and Thomas met through the rugby club, The Niagara Wasps, based in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Their love story began the night of August 11th, 2019, while the rugby club was on a pub crawl in Clifton Hill. They officially started their long distance relationship on September 21st, 2019 but just a few months later in March 2020, Covid-19 shut down the US-Canada border for the unforeseeable future. Despite the odds, they were committed to getting through this set back despite still being in the early stages in their relationship because they knew this was their forever person. After lots of Netflix parties, long facetime calls, honest & hard conversations, and support from friends and family; in December 2020, border restrictions relaxed enough that Kelly was allowed to fill out paperwork to cross the border and be with Thomas again.

As covid travel restrictions lifted over time, it became easier to see each other and after 3 years of dating they decided that Kelly would move to Canada to start the next chapter of their lives. In January of 2023, Kelly and Thomas became engaged! They moved to Niagara Falls in March 2023. They adopted their first fur baby, Leon, named after the Edmonton Oilers NHL player, Leon Draisaitl, in May 2023 and hope to give him a fur sibling in the near future. Now, they are looking to start the next chapter of their lives, buying their first home.
