Kelly and Nick began seeing eachother in May 2020 through a mutual friend. Their connection deepened over Memorial Day weekend when Kelly extended an invitation to Majestic Trails in Bradford, PA. During this weekend, Nick had the chance to meet Kelly's entire family, although he originally intended to stay only for one night. However, his initial encounter with Kelly's family, marked by an unforgettable night of him sleeping outside ("the bench wasn't the greatest spot to sleep"), prompted him to realize the need for a better first impression. Determined to make a better first impression, Nick created special bonds with each member of Kelly's family as the weekend unfolded, turning an initially awkward situation into a meaningful connection.

From the summer of 2020, when they first met, to their engagement on their first cruise together on May 16, 2022, Kelly and Nick have cultivated a strong bond, and they are truly thankful for each other.
