Our Wedding

Bear and Kelly met at the wedding of Mark (Bear's younger brother) and Jes Barkman over Memorial Day weekend in 2022. Sue Ducharme (Kelly's Mom) happened to be visiting Colorado at the time and tagged along to the wedding location so the mother-daughter duo could make a weekend adventure out of it. In true Sue fashion, she crashed the wedding's after party and rubbed elbows with the Barkman clan. In charming Bear fashion, he decided to talk up Sue in order to get her daughter's attention. "You have a beautiful daughter. One day someone will come along and sweep her off her feet." Two weeks later, Bear swept Kelly off to their first date at The Miner's Claim in Silt, CO. It's been all gas and no breaks ever since.

One Mile Campground is located 1 mile from Harmels on the Taylor. The campground offers single-family campsites, all of which have electric hookups. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. Vault toilets are provided. NO WATER or dump station.

Enjoy the area’s only dinner cruise – Rocky Mountain style! Start out at Three Rivers Resort and enjoy a scenic float trip on the Gunnison River to&nbsp;<a href="http://www.garlicmikes.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Garlic Mike’s Restaurant</a>. Then get ready to dine on a delicious Italian dinner. You will receive the float trip plus a voucher for up to $50 per adult and $25 per child 8-10 yrs old to be spent for dinner at Garlic Mike’s.&nbsp;

Float 'n Dine

Harmels has a private 1-mile stretch of the gold medal waters of the Taylor River. They offer daily guided fly fishing trips, catch fish right out your cabin door, or there is a stocked pond on property for spin fishing. Fishing is FREE for guests staying at the ranch. Otherwise, the fee to river fish is $150/person/day. Note, you will need a Colorado fishing license and can obtain from the Colorado Parks &amp; Wildlife website.

Side-by-sides for 2, 4 or 6 people available. Offer flexible rental times for your convenience: 3 hour, 4 hour, or full-day tours.

ATV/UTV Rentals 

One of the bride and groom's favorite places! Enjoy a section of public beach surrounded by 14,000-ft mountains, rent a side-by-side and rip up the trails, rent a pontoon boat from the marina and go fishing, or extend your trip and rent a cabin/camp there.

Taylor Park Reservoir

Kelly loves a good farmers market and Crested Butte's is one of her favorites. It's along Elk Avenue every Sunday. This is a great stop on your way home (or on your way to your next destination) after the wedding. CB has unique little shops to explore and excellent food too!
