We tell people we met at work but we officially met at bar trivia at the infamous Alleged in Ogden, UT (okay, it was a work sponsored social event). We quickly became close friends as part of a rambunctious friend group of crazy young engineers.

Fast forward a couple years, Kelly was in Utah for the end of holiday break while most of our friends were out of town. The topic of Downton Abbey came up, "Do you want to watch Downton Abbey?" ..."Yes, but it's required to drink red wine while watching". Downton Abbey watching parties became a regular occurrence. From then on we pretended we didn't have major crushes on each other as we both moved down to Salt Lake City and became best friends.

Just before New Years 2016 Ben's family asked him why he wasn't dating Kelly, unbeknownst to them we had our first date planned later that week. After a few dates, Ben officially asked Kelly to be "his girlfriend". Kelly spit out her wine, and said "Are you sure?!"

A little over a year later, we moved into an apartment in Sugarhouse, and shortly after Kelly easily convinced Ben we needed a dog, so Tullamore joined our little family. In 2021, we lucked out and bought a great townhouse in Millcreek and have loved it ever since. We spend our time golfing, boating, traveling, lifting weights, eating Kelly's delicious food, sitting poolside and occasionally building rockets. We love hanging out with our amazing friends and our incredible families. We certainly weren't in a hurry, but we're very excited to celebrate our love with all the people we love.
