We met at Wareings Gym in Virginia Beach shortly after Kelly finished her Masters program. Kelly was performing an exercise to which I offered my expert advice! She entertained my opinion and we began to chat and learn about each other. Soon after, she started taking my 6:00 am workout classes multiple times a week. I asked her to play in a Spikeball tournament with me. After playing in the tournament, I knew she was the one - not because of how we performed, but because of how much fun we were having. Her willingness to go out on a limb and try something new made me so happy. I knew after that day I was going to ask this beautiful woman to marry me and if I was lucky enough, she would say yes.

Fast forward and a year and a half and we are playing in our 10th Spikeball tournament in which we win (beating a team of high school athletes I might add). On the way to dropping her and Molly (her younger sister) back off at the Field residence, I told them I had to pick up something at my house. Little did Kelly know that I had candles and roses waiting for her to pop the big question. When she came in, I dropped down to one knee and asked her to be my forever teammate. (I cramped up trying to stand afterwards lol.) The whole moment in time felt like a dream to us and we can't wait to celebrate the dream with all of you on July 22, 2023.
