In January of 2023, I was called by one of my childhood friends asking if I was still single. I responded with a questionable yes but why? His response I know this guy and  I think you and him may  hit it off!  My answer was send me a picture! I viewed the picture and called my friend back immediately, give him my number!! Fast forward a couple days later, after texting I asked would he want to meet up with me and my twelve friends! At first Jason was kinda taken back   by how many people I hang out with !! I noticed though through the chaos he wanted to get to know me. He even leaned in while I was rambling. Later on that night he asked me did I want to grab coffee and go ax throwing? I started to laugh and I said I hope not at the same time. Never would we have expected a blind date would turn into our forever story!

Never did we think… 

Jason and I had been dating exactly one year. We had decided to celebrate at our local Italian restaurant. We were sitting there and he says to me would you like your present now or later? I stuttered , Jason I didn’t get you anything, I thought we weren’t exchanging gifts. He replies it’s ok. He pulls out this hand made music box out of his pocket. He makes me hand made things all the time.( He is very creative) He says let me explain , this cross is on the outside because God brought us together, this snowflake is here because we met in the winter time, and the heart is because I love you. He proceeds to open the music box and there is a gold coin. This coin means strength in unity in latin, he flips the coin over he says I can’t see my life without you , will you marry me? You could have hit me with a Mac truck, I didn’t see this coming at all! I of course busted out in tears, and said yes!!

My younger sister Erin. My forever boy band concert buddy!!  We of course talk everyday about everything! ! As kids you don’t see how truly blessed you are, as adults she will always be in my corner.

Matron of honor

Tyeast and I met our second year of college when we had a science class together. To my surprise fast forward a year later when we took our major classes. We became study buddies and have never looked back. She is someone who stands in her faith and I am forever grateful for her to be with me on my big day! 

Tavena is one of my best friends that passed away in April of 2024. She was so excited for me getting married, and I am heartbroken that she won’t be here physically, but definitely in spirit. Miss you beyond words T.

Well if it wasn’t for this man, I wouldn’t have met the love of my life. Cortez and I grew up in the  same neighborhood. His mother is my Godmother. We have been through, break up, babies, and even a car fire listening to Tupac! I stood up in behave of him when he got married! I am forever grateful to my brother!

Jason’s eldest son. He is excited to stand next to his dad and waiting for me to make my chicken dish again, which he is always requesting.

Asher

Dean holds a special place with me. Jason’s middle son. He is very happy that Jason and I are getting married. He tells us every chance he can! It would be a no brainer that he would stand up with his dad.

The baby that made me a Tete. The short time he was here , he blessed our family beyond measure. I know you will be looking down from heaven and laughing because I will be crying. Tete will forever love you Poot.

My niece, also known as my mini me! She was excited to throw some flowers at her Tete’s wedding! Her and I are like peas and carrots!!

Reagan

Jason’s youngest child. She was a hard one to crack but once we grew a rapport, our relationship grew, and it’s always girl power with us!
