Too Many Coincidences
Austin and Kelly first met on the big yellow school bus when they were just kids, bouncing along the roads to Brook Park Elementary School.
They didn’t know it then, but their paths had actually crossed long before—at summer golf lessons at Maple Creek Country Club, at which both of their grandparents were proud members. Little did they know then, but their grandparents actually played together frequently, even with Kelly's dad and several of her uncles. Austin vividly remembers Kelly in her cute little golf outfit practicing on the putting green. He shortly came out to join her, and they began putting together.
On the bus, however, they became friends. This friendship was maintained all the way through elementary and middle school, and a portion of high school.
But then life did what it often does—Kelly transferred to another school, and slowly, the messages became fewer and farther between. Eventually, they lost touch.
Years later, fresh out of college, they both found themselves back in their hometown.
One coffee turned into a dinner. One dinner turned into weekly meet-ups. And before long, it felt like no time had passed at all.
Over six years later, they now stand hand in hand, looking back on the journey that led them here—one that had started long before they even knew it.
A lifetime had already been written, and yet, the best part was still ahead.
