One hot summer day, in the tiny pueblo of San Antonio, Texas, Kelly made her way into the world. Through a brief stint in Colorado Springs, she was present in the city where Drew made his entrance amidst the mountainous vistas. Most likely they ran into each other on a swing set and jumped together in a bounce house although these facts are not confirmed. Drew and his family quickly made their way to the booming metropolis of Waco, Texas; while Kelly and her family headed east to the hills of North Carolina.
Many moons later, Kelly made her way back to Colorado to work for Noah's Ark Whitewater Rafting Company. A few years passed and Drew sat in his Baylor dorm room and interviewed with a "38-year old mountain lady" to be a guide at the rafting company. When Drew arrived in Buena Vista, Colorado to start his guiding career, he learned that the 38 year old lady was actually Kelly, not as old or married as he had pictured. Drew and Kelly's friendship developed over radio waves and boat shed talks. After their last summer, Kelly headed west to San Francisco and Drew made his way to the big city lights of Dallas.
After a few years of festive courtship, one cross-country move, and some dance lessons from Drew, Kelly accepted Drew's invitation to spontaneously drive to Colorado from Dallas one fine weekend in May, 2016. Drew drove Kelly to the base of a mountain and, after some snacks and a hammock nap, told her he loved her and he wanted her to be his wife. (wasasssuuppppp) Kelly was pretty pumped, as no one had ever asked her this before. She merrily obliged and they celebrated.
Drew and Kelly are getting married in December. They would love you to be there. Drew taught Kelly to dance. She has not picked up all of his signature moves yet, but practices daily to try keep up. Hopefully they can showcase these for you in December.
