How do I get to the wedding?
Our wedding will be held at the Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, Massachusetts. We will be providing transportation to and from the hotel to the wedding venue, but you are also welcome to also drive yourself there! There is ample on-site parking.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM. It will be held on the lawn at The Barn at Gibbet Hill, weather permitting. If weather is inclement (too hot, too cold or rainy, for instance), the ceremony will be moved indoors.
Do you have more details about the reception?
The reception will follow the ceremony from 6 - 11 PM. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served on the deck, followed by a plated dinner and dancing. We will be providing an open bar for the duration of the reception, dessert (of course) and late night snacks to end the evening. The deck will remain open with lounge seating throughout the evening, and we hope to provide a quieter area for those who might enjoy it on one of the mezzanines.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
They are. The most challenging part of access is the lawn, as there is a slope. The Barn itself is easily accessible. PLEASE let us know if you have needs and we will do everything in our power to accommodate them!
What is the parking situation?
There is ample on site, free parking. Group transport is planned from hotels where room blocks are reserved.
Is there a dress code?
Cocktail comfy. What does that mean? Look fancy, be comfortable!
Please feel free to dress in a color palette that you feel good in, whether that's subdued or vivid.
Weather permitting, our ceremony will be on the lawn. Please choose your shoes accordingly.
Is there a theme?
There's no specific theme, but the vibe is rustic elegant, with inspiration from fall butterflies and blooms.
Where should I stay, if I'm from out of town?
Please see the Accommodations page. There are other hotels in within a 15-20 minute drive from the venue as well.
What if I have a dietary restriction?
You will be able to include this information when you RSVP.
Will there be dancing?
We will have a band playing a variety of music after dinner. We certainly hope you'll join us on the dance floor!
Are you registered anywhere?
We are not. We encourage you to donate to a local animal shelter in our honor.
