She catered the desserts. He was the Best Man..

Weddings have a weird way of bringing people together. In a true "hopeless romantic" fashion, Kelly came in contact with Dylan while attending a mutual friend's wedding up in PA. Traveling from Florida to Western PA with 2 suitcases full of cookies, she had no idea what she got herself into but she was supporting her friend in her big day. Dylan, having best man duties of course, did not pay Kelly any attention during the festivities despite her efforts trying to get him to notice her. She retreated back to her hotel room to watch Jersey Shore and order a medium cheese pizza from Dominos and proceeded to do what she loves-EAT!

Fast forward a few months, the newly-wed couple would take mini-trips with Kelly and invite Dylan down to Florida and they, first, went to the happiest place on earth: Disney World. It was 4th of July weekend and the couple snagged reservations for Hoop-De-Doo Revue for all of us! Knee-slapping to old country tunes while enjoying unlimited refills of beer and sangria? YES PLEASE! The night continued at their place and into the wee hours... and then it ended up in the bathroom lol! Feeling a bit nauseated, Dylan was in the bathroom with her & she mustered up the courage (liquid courage) to blurt out how she felt about him. Dylan held her hair back & politely reassured her that he felt the same way.

Okay, so the connection was there. That's good! But there's only one problem: long-distance. A lot of messaging, calling and Snapchats later, Kelly and Dylan remained in contact since 4th of July until they would embark on their next group trip to Myrtle Beach at the end of August. Kelly was smitten with Dylan at this point and he was playing it smooth- almost too smooth. Preoccupied with mini-golfing and relaxing by the beach with umbrella drinks in hand, they almost were acting like a couple already without having to say anything. Fed up with the confusion from both of us, our mutual friends proceeded to ask "DTR!!" multiple times.

*for those wondering, DTR means "Define the Relationship". Okay, back to our scheduled programming.*

Kelly began laughing uncontrollably, because she didn't know what to say (& because she does that all the time with LITERALLY ANYTHING!) and told them to ask Dylan. Dylan, getting fed up with the questioning blurted out, "We are in a relationship! Kelly, get dressed! We are going on a date!"

They say that "distance makes the heart grow fonder". Well through 8 grueling months of long-distance, they vowed to never go more than 2 weeks without seeing each other in their respective states. They finally said enough is enough and finally April 1st, 2019 was when the cross-country move happened and Kelly became a PA resident. And the rest is history.

Through jobs, finishing up school, up's & down's and everything in between, Kelly and Dylan have chosen each other time and time again. They continue to choose each other, no matter the distance between them. They currently enjoy life in Charlotte, NC with their fur-bunny, Copperfield.
