FAQs

When do I need to RSVP?

Please RSVP by Saturday April 5th.

What is the dress code?

Black Tie Optional

Are children invited?

While we adore children, we have opted for an adults-only affair to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for the evening.

How should I get there?

We strongly recommend that you take a ride share service (Uber/Lyft), public transportation, or walk from any of the hotels listed on our Travel page. The Mint Museum does have a parking garage with handicap accessible parking available on levels P1 and P2; however there are multiple events in Uptown this weekend which may reduce parking availability. Expect heavy traffic and a few road closures.

What will the weather be like?

In May, Charlotte has warm, humid days and cool nights with average high temperatures of 76°- 83°. Our ceremony and reception will be indoors. Cocktail Hour will be outside weather permitting.

Where is the ceremony?

The Queen's Room at The Mint Museum Uptown. To enter the museum lobby from the street, you can walk up the front steps, or access the elevator located past the glass doors to the Mint Museum Store. Once inside the museum, use the lobby elevators to access the 5th floor.

Where are the Cocktail Hour & Reception?

Cocktail Hour and Reception will be at the same venue, guests will be directed after the ceremony.

Can I bring a plus one?

We have reserved a limited number of seats for each guest, so please only attend as listed on your invitation.

Who should I contact with questions on the day of the wedding?

For questions on the day of the wedding, please contact our friend and groomsman, Jay Charles at 704-996-9298.

Will you be serving alcohol at the reception?

Yes, there will be an open bar with beer, wine, and liquor at the Cocktail Hour and the Reception.

Can I take photos during the Ceremony?

While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and will share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our Ceremony!
