Kelly's side of the story: I came back home for the weekend to go on a double date with this guy I met the week before. I got to the bar before my date arrived. It just so happened to be nursing appreciate week in Boston. I went over to a group of nurses and asked if I could hang out with them while I waited for my date. One of the nurses came over to me to ask what shift I worked- I informed her that I was actually was a teacher and waiting for my date to come. She decided to intervene and introduce me to her fiancé. I met her fiancé and her fiancé's friend Matt. My first thought was: Oh no! He probably has a girlfriend he is so cute! I hope my date isn't here yet! Robyn and Tommy immediately left the two of us. We spent the rest of the night talking about dogs, Game of Thrones, and how amazing the North Shore is. I never met up with my date. I knew the minute I met Matt he was the guy. I left the bar and I called up my mom saying, "Mom I met the love of my life…. but the only problem is I can't remember his first name! I remember his last name because he kept referring to himself as Mr. Gregg if he became a teacher! I know he went to Bates, is 26, and played football!" My mom instantly took to the computer (stalker!!) and figured out his name from the Bates football archives. I had to go back to finals week at Penn and patiently waited for him to contact me. He waited three days to call me! I sat in the Penn library debating if I should text him. Anxiously checking my phone to see if he texted me. I even deleted his number to focus on my finals! Finally around 8:30 at night I received a phone call. FINALLY! The minute I hung up the phone I immediately texted everyone on my phone saying he actually called!!!!! Our first date lasted almost six hours! Two dates a week …...turned into four dates a week….. turned into everyday! We were spending everyday together! We moved in together in April a year after meeting at the bar! One day Matt came home and asked me if I had found anything around the apartment. I was now on the hunt! I found the ring box in his winter jacket! I didn't open it! If you know me well, you know I hate surprises! It was the day of the Gay Pride Parade, my poor sister, who was holding a "Will you marry me Kelly?" sign, got a lot of praise and high fives! We walked over the bridge, Matt made a speech, got down on one knee, and I said yes! Matt's side of the storyI wish my side of the story was as cool as Kelly's, but unsurprisingly I didn't have 6 guys lined up to date me in one night. I just wanted to go out to a bar to hang out with my friends… and 20 nurses. So I went out to West End Johnny's and started talking to the cute blonde (after a quick and not-at-all-subtle introduction from Robyn and Tommy) and we really hit it off. The topic? Game of Thrones, dogs, and the amazing South Shore. Needless to say, I was hooked. So I got her number with the promise of calling her soon. I waited 3 days, as per protocol, to keep her anxious. Our first date was great. We talked all night, she looked amazing, and the food was delicious. I knew I had to keep seeing this girl. Well, one date turned into two which turned into three, and pretty soon we were seeing each other four or five times a week. I'm a person who definitely likes his downtime, but being with Kelly was easy, fun, and always exciting. Whether we are travelling to Florida, going to a vineyard in New Hampshire, or eating pizza (gluten-free for her) and watching television, it's been the best, most fulfilling year of my life. And so it wasn't long before I was talking about marrying this girl (usually after a few cocktails.) I bought a ring, took her to the Public Garden and got Team Joy (Karen and Jen) onboard for support. That was easily the scariest, longest walk of my life. But she said YES!

Jennifer Joy is the younger sister of the bride. She is currently a graduate student at George Washington University. Jennifer is still recovering from getting colored with permanent marker and getting her hair cut by Kelly.

Amanda is the bride's best friend from high school! She is second in line MOH2 if you will! Kelly met Amanda a week before middle school started while they were getting their gym shirts! Amanda ended up being in every single class with Kelly! From t-ping houses, to stalking crushes, to dancing to Blurred Lines they have done it all!

Jess is the bride's best friend from college. Jess has never been to the Cape or to Boston. When Jess first met Kelly, she hated her. She didn't like how happy she was all the time, even though Jess herself was always happy. Soon that changed since they had every class together!

Sharon is going to be the bride's new sister- in-law! Kelly met Sharon on Matt's parent roof top! They make a great spike ball team!!

Julie is one of the bride's best friends! Julie and Kelly met in high school and they went on an adventure with Amanda and others to Asbury Grove on Halloween for GNO! This was probably one of the most terrifying nights of our lives! She also likes Pure Barre, The Bachelor, and Legals.

Emilia is another best friend of the bride! Kelly met Emilia on the rooftop pool through Andrew Hannigan! She is from Belgium!

Cali was the bride's roommate at JMU! They both had VERY similar names! Kelly met Cali through a Facebook roommate search! They had way too many similarities and knew they had to live together!

Ellen was on the water polo team with the bride in college! Ellen has visited the bride in every state she has lived in!

Jessica Mae is one of the greatest Filipino of all time that went to high school with the bride! She is probably going to be the one taking the most pictures at the wedding and calling it a Filipino thing!

Allison is the bride's adorable cousin! She was born on Valentines Day! Now she is a star athlete and scholar!

Dan is Matt's twin brother. He lives in Somerville with his wife Sharon and works in Wellesley. Matt and Dan go way way back.

Tom is Matt's younger brother by 3 years. He graduated from Lehigh in 2014 and has been working in Boston since. Matt and Tom also go way way back.

Judd has been Matt's best friend since they were 5 years old. He lives in Boston with his wife Maria and will soon be attending veterinary school.

Roy and Matt became friends at Bates college while playing football. They also lived together after college. Roy lives and works in Boston and is an avid Patriots fan.

Mike and Matt became friends at Bates college. They were also roommates afterwards. Mike is an avid Patriots and Everton fan. 

Mike O'Gorman

Tommy and Matt became friends at Bates college. Tommy and Matt played receiver together for 3 years. Tommy lives in Medford with his wife Robyn and works at Tufts University.

Andrew has been life-long friends with Kelly. He and Matt hit it off soon after meeting and have been friends since. Andrew currently works in the Greater Boston Area as a software developer.

Matt and Tom met and became friends at Bates college. They lived together for several years during college and after. Tom is currently attending medical school at UNE.
