OUR WEDDING RECEPTION IS ON FOR AUGUST 13TH, 2021!
We're still waiting on our $1M contract offer from Match.com to appear in their success story commercials, but we do have Match to thank for "linking us up". :)We first met on November 20, 2013 at Northside Social (a restaurant in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, which has a coffee shop on the first floor and a wine bar on the second floor). Needless to say, we strolled up to Floor #2, where we shared a couple of glasses of wine and a lovely meal. Not wanting to end the evening quite yet, we walked over to Larry's Ice Cream (RIP), enjoyed a couple of scoops, took a nice walk outside, and shared a goodnight kiss. It was a special kiss for sure and the first time either of us had felt those movie-level fireworks. We each drove home that night thinking maybe that was our last first date ever. The next night, Kelly had dinner with her friend Julia at Rocklands BBQ (highly-recommended and just down the street from Northside Social). Kelly re-capped the previous night to Julia and told her, "I think I'm gonna marry him!" to which Julia responded, "Eeeeeeee!"Just a few (7.5) years later, and here we are! Celebrating our marriage with you! We've spent a long time vetting (*cough*) - er - getting to know each other and growing together into a team. :) We have been blessed with SO many travels and adventures together. Dating long-distance for two years and traveling monthly back and forth from Arlington and Nashville really helped us build up some frequent-flyer miles! We've now traveled to 11 states and 5 countries together (including an engagement in Bath, UK, where Kelly studied abroad), and we can tell you that being good travel buddies really bodes well for a relationship. We love to explore and adventure and play, and we've maybe been to Disney World and Harry Potter World together a few too many times! Most importantly, though, we've encouraged one another to grow, and we've grown towards each other in love. We're excited to get married and to have the opportunity to choose love every day. We ask for your prayers that we always put God first in our marriage and that we seek His will in our daily lives, together and individually. We look up to so many of you, and we thank you for being great role models and examples to us of how to build happy, healthy marriages. We value the power of strong communities, and we're so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family members to cheer us on, guide us, and lift us up in prayer. We believe this is the start of something beautiful and good, and we're thrilled to share our wedding reception celebration with you - the people we love. <3
