Kelly and Eric met in the Fall of 2013, randomly in a casual restaurant where live music was playing. Ten minutes too early, or ten minutes too late, who knows how fate would have changed.

Eric, being the gentleman that he is, offered Kelly his seat, and from there the connection began. Numbers were exchanged, and a couple weeks later, Eric would find himself driving down to Temple, Texas for a first date with Kelly. They went to a movie, followed by lunch at Megg's Cafe. Eric and Kelly stayed in contact, but decided it was not the right time to start a long distance relationship.

It was not until eight months later, Kelly moved back to Dallas, and as she was thinking about the wonderful man she met months prior and hoping he was still available; Eric could not stop thinking about the amazing woman he met months prior, and so on a whim Eric reached out to Kelly....

The two met for dinner at Hibiscus in Dallas, on July 18th 2014. Both Kelly and Eric knew in their hearts, God was working on something extraordinarily special. Neither Kelly nor Eric had ever felt a spark of love quite like the one they felt that night. It was as if they knew each other their whole life, and could not remember what life was like before the other. From this day forward, a love like no other grew.

On July 20th 2016, Eric Roberts asked Kelly King to be the love of his life, and without hesitation she said yes, forever and always!
