Just 1 month later, Kelly had a road trip to Philadelphia planned. She asked if Kyle wanted to come along to do the heavy driving. He obliged. They spent 12 hours in the car together and nobody died. Many historical landmarks and IPAs were savored.

The next month, Kyle met the McCarthy family on a low key (not actually) weekend getaway to Woodstock, VT for Kathie & Bill's 45th wedding anniversary. Bill brought the group on a guided tour of Dartmouth in the rain. Kyle's shoes got wet and he didn't complain- that was when Kelly knew he was a keeper.

In September, Kyle was heading down to Virginia for his best friend Mark's wedding. Kyle asked Mark last minute if he could bring Kelly along. Mark replied "If you're really serious about her, sure!". He was. She kicked off her shoes to break it down on the dance floor, and Kyle knew she was the one.

In October, Kelly surprised Kyle with a weekend trip to Nashville. Surrounded by live music and BBQ food, they watched the Red Sox win the world series and the couple knew they were right where they were supposed to be.
