If you ever doubted the "Invisible String Theory" we're here to tell you it is true, and we're thankful for it! That and snow. On January 20th, 2024, after a week of being stuck inside on the tail-end of one of Nashville's now annual snowstorms, Kelly and some friends decided to take on the icy roads and head out to a local sports bar for some much needed socialization. Ryan was visiting Nashville for a multi-week aviation course and was also looking for a respite from the winter weather. He reached out to a local old Air Force buddy, Mike, for some much needed time away from the course and a few cold beers. As luck would have it, Mike was one of the friends who was out with Kelly. All it took was one look and a joke about Ryan's lack of a coat admist the winter weather and the rest is history!

How We Met

Through lots and lots of travel! We knew that Ryan's time in Nashville wasn't the end of our story, it was just the beginning! Many miles were covered over the course of 2024 between Nashville and Charlotte, along with many trips together elsewhere - Honeoye, Atlanta (Go Braves!), Carolina Beach, Gatlinburg, Buffalo (Go Bills!), Boston, and Niagara Falls. We spent our first summer holidays together at the pool, our first Thanksgiving in Honeoye, and our first Christmas in Charlotte!

How We Fell In Love

On January 4th, 2025, Ryan proposed to Kelly on the John Seigenthaler Bridge in downtown Nashville. He surprised Kelly by coordinating with both of their mothers to be there for the proposal, and even a last minute appearance from Bailey and Sadie! They started at the bottom of the bridge and talked about the previous year, all the wonderful things they had been through and then talked about their future together. Once they reached the top of the bridge, the question was popped and she said yes!

Shortly after saying YES! to the love of her life, Kelly packed up (including her 500 pairs of shoes) and moved from Nashville to Charlotte to be with Ryan. Kelly still works for Hanger Clinic in metro-Charlotte, and Ryan is still loving his job with PSA! We have continued our travels, this time internationally, too! In 2025, we had the chance to vist Philadelphia, Germany, France, back to Carolina Beach, Ecuador, Seattle, San Antonio, Las Vegas, NYC, Baton Rouge (Geaux Tigers!), &amp; London. We continue to expand our love of music, attending concerts here, there, and everywhere, as well as sharing in Ryan’s love of local sports. 2025 certainly kept us busy, and we can’t wait to celebrate our marriage with you in 2026!

What is the attire?We are requesting formal attire, but not black tie.(Think long dresses and suits, but brush off that tux if you want an excuse to wear it!) Is there parking?Yes! There are multiple paid parking lots located in Uptown both attached to and near The Mint Museum. If you choose to park at the venue, parking vouchers are on us! Will transportation be provided from the hotel?The hotels we have chosen to utilize for room blocks are within walking distance to our venue (less than half a mile), therefore no formal transportation will be provided to or from The Mint. Are children welcome?Absolutely! We can't wait for your littles to dance the night away with us! (And we might teach them how to Dougie...) I can't find the address or time! We encourage you to check out The Mint Museum before our ceremony starts! The tickets are on us - just let them know you're one of our guests and the admission is free! The museum is open from 11am-6pm on Saturday!

Where would we eat?? HERE! Restaurant Constance is one of our favorite places to have a date night and the food is as captivating as its backstory. A true Farm-to-Table experience brought to you by a chef that Beat Bobby Flay and is worth the price! Please be aware that reservations are limited. If you can't get a reservation, don't worry! It's a worth a trip back to Charlotte - let us know when and we'll join you!

Check out The Cotton Room for some delicious cocktails in an awesomely unique Uptown location. Located up the stairs from an Irish Pub, if that's more your speed! Cheers!

Relive our first date in Charlotte by having dinner here, telling your significant other you love them (maybe for the first time!), and then heading over to Fahrenheit for a much needed post-nerves drink!

If you're looking for the best view of Charlotte, look no further! Fahrenheit is Charlotte’s first open-air rooftop restaurant and bar located on the 21st floor atop a high-rise in Uptown. While we don't recommend having a meal here, the drinks are as good as the photo-ops!

Our favorite place to go when we don't know what we want, or we all want something different. Craving empanadas with a side of sushi? A burger with a side of dumplings? Pizza with BBQ?
