Our Engagement- Storyteller Kelly

So, honestly I never thought I would get married. Never that I would have a partner either. I was going to set up being the cool aunt with a couple of cats. ( Nothing wrong with that, I just have Josh on top of that now). I told Josh closer to Sept that if he wanted to propose, I would not automatically say "NO". I forgot for a few weeks and then one night that changed.

I came home from a long day at work, exhausted. We had an event to attend in Commerce City. Josh came downstairs very nicely dressed. That was odd for me because he does work construction. Asking him why he said he just felt like it.

And I bought it. Like a Sucker!

Later that night he said we needed to make a stop at one of our regular date spots, and he parked the car saying that we needed to talk.

He gave a beautiful heartfelt speech about us.... and I FROZE. This was how humans had broken up with me in old relationships. I turned around and yelled to him " IF YOU ARE BREAKING UP WITH ME, I WILL RUN OUT OF THIS CAR RIGHT NOW".

He started laughing and said that that was not the case.

Then he pulled the ring box out and I was absolutely speechless. I think I forgot to say yes at first, the ring was a size too small and we had a great laugh and will continue have great laughter to come.

Josh is my person and he completes a part of me that I had been missing for a very long time.
