Our Wedding

Their story began 11 years ago in the loveliest village on the plains, Auburn. Sam and Kelly were having a night downtown, as college kids do, when they met at a local college bar. They were introduced by Alex Dennis, their mutual friend from Kelly’s hometown. After multiple missed attempts to dance (Sam says he did not know how to dance to those songs…though we all know that isn't true, as Sam can dance to anything) they both left the bar without exchanging numbers and only got each other’s names. However, Alex was not going to let this missed connection between two friends pass, and continued to play matchmaker between the pair. He told Kelly how Sam had mentioned that he missed his shot at getting to dance with the girl at the bar. So, Kelly decided to give him another shot by inviting him as her date to her sorority’s Spring Formal in Atlanta, GA. Sam must have really liked Kelly, because even though Kelly’s formal was in Atlanta, where Sam had driven to take his MCAT earlier that day, he drove all the way back to Auburn after his exam to ride the bus with her to Atlanta again as her date! Sam’s dance moves must have proven quite unique as he has been Kelly’s dance partner ever since. The couple went on to share an amazing era of Auburn Football (shout out to the Kick Six, The Prayer in Jordan Hare, and a drive out to Pasadena to attend the National Championship…'twas their first shared heartbreak that game). Rolling Toomer’s Corner, tailgating with friends, and watching the eagle fly over Jordan Hare are fond memories that will always hold a special place in Sam and Kelly’s hearts. Auburn is where their love story began. After graduating, Sam and Kelly moved to different cities to pursue their individual career goals, embracing a long-distance relationship. Through thousands of miles driven each year between the two, Sam and Kelly were able to keep their love alive with river weekends in Gadsden, holidays with family, and countless weekends in Nashville and Atlanta. During this time Kelly and Sam welcomed a new puppy to their family, Dallas, and heartbreakingly had to say goodbye to their heart dog and Dallas’s big brother, Rookoo. Through love and loss, the couple never gave up on each other, and eventually moved in together again in July 2024 with the sound of wedding bells on the horizon. Throughout the years the couple has been blessed with many friendships from all over, which, along with very supportive family, have contributed to keeping their love alive. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our love story. We cannot wait to celebrate the much-anticipated day with you!&nbsp;
