If you do nothing else while in the area, take the 15 min drive North on Highway 93 to at least exit 34 B. This is by far the most jaw-dropping drive the Bride and Groom have found in New England, and even rates high in our favorite drives when including our adventures out west.
If you turn left off Exit 34 B and cross the highway you will find Cannon Ski Mountain which would make a great location to turn around.
Looking to hike to the view in the picture? The hike is only a mile and a half, called Artists Bluff. Give it a google or look it up on "All Trails" for details.
So you made it to Exit 34 B and want to keep going? We wont stop you if you do!! If you want to take a full day trip you could continue N on 93 exiting towards US Route 3 , to 302 towards Bretton Woods Ski Resort. 302 will eventually drop you in North Conway. From here you can continue South and take the "Kank" back over the mountains and dropping you in Lincoln NH (N Woodstock's neighboring town)
Lincoln NH and N. Woodstock NH are both adorable mountain towns filled with cute shops and eateries! We hope you love these little towns as much as we do.
Want to see the views of a local hike, minus the sweat? Take a gondola ride up to the peak of Loon mountain in Lincoln NH!!
The Kancamagus Scenic Byway is a lovely drive that cuts you straight through the Whites and drops you in Conway NH. Conway is an outlet town with a variety of stores while North Conway has a cuter mountain town vibe!
While you're in North Conway we recommend stopping by May Kelly's Cottage for a traditional Irish meal while enjoying the view of Cathedral Ledge!
One of the Bride and Groom's first dates (with Sadie of course).
If you're looking for more of an adventure Gorham NH also has lots of options for ATV rentals!
- Fun Fact the Cumberland Farms in Gorham was the Grooms "go-to" stop while making the commute to the Bride in Maine when they were long distance! The bride prefers the Irving.
