The earlier the better! This is a busy time of year in Charleston. There are some hotels listed on this website for convenience, but there are many more options both around the venue as well as in downtown Charleston. Finding an Airbnb is another great option.

Unfortunately we are not able to offer plus ones to every guest due to size limitations. If you believe you should have received a plus one with your invitation, please reach out!

Yes, there is plenty of parking available at no cost.

Charleston is home to many museums and historic sites, including Gibbes Museum of Art and Fort Sumter, the site of the start of the Civil War, and Patriot's Point Museum, home of the USS Yorktown. Check out the horse drawn carriage tours of the city, or all the world class restaurants the city has to offer. King Street is a shopping hub, with boutiques and stores for all. Leave downtown, and find some of the country's oldest plantations and gardens, or find a spot on one of the many beaches. And always feel free to reach out to the Perkins family for more suggestions.

Charleston has many public beaches, with some of the most popular being Isle of Palms, Folly Beach, and Sullivan's Island. However, prepare for large crowds, traffic, and parking shortages as this is Memorial Day weekend.

Charleston has a big culinary scene with great options! Here are some of our favorites. In downtown Charleston, check out Fleet Landing for a waterfront restaurant with great seafood, FIG for a fine dining farm-to-table experience, or Magnolia's for classic Southern cooking. If you're out at Folly Beach, don't forget to stop by Taco Boy. And then follow it all up with Kaminsky's or Carmella's, both amazing dessert cafes.
