Q + A

Why are there two different resorts to choose from?

Divi and Tamarijn Aurba are sister resorts, separated by a stretch of beach that takes about 5 minutes to walk. A free shuttle service using golf cart vehicles runs every 15 minutes between the 2 resorts, the casino, and the golf course. Divi Aruba room categories include Gardenview rooms, Beachside Casita rooms next to beach but without ocean views, Poolview rooms, Oceanview rooms, and Oceanfront Lanai rooms right on the beach with ocean views. Any room category at Divi Aruba includes use of all facilities and features, including restaurants, bars, and other services at the adjacent Tamarijn Aruba. Tamarijn Aruba rooms are all oceanfront, in two-story buildings and steps from the beach. All Tamarijn Aruba guests have full use of the features and facilities of the adjacent Divi Aruba. At both resorts, each room has either a king bed or two queen beds, and a patio or balcony.

Does the Resort hold hotel rooms?

The hotels DO NOT hold aside, block, or allocate rooms for Direct Wedding Party bookings. We suggest that guests book their reservation as soon as they have decided upon their travel plans. While the hotels offer availability at the time the promo code is activated, we CANNOT guarantee rooms will continue to be available at the time a guest books their reservation.

What is required to book a room?

A one night deposit per reservation is required to confirm a room. The remaining balance due is automatically charged to the credit card on file thirty (30) days prior to arrival. Please note that our resorts are unable to provide payment plans.

What if we need to cancel?

Any cancellations made prior to thirty (30) days of arrival will incur a $100 cancellation processing fee and the remaining deposit amount will be refunded. Cancellations within 30 days of travel will forfeit their one (1) night deposit and receive a refund of the remaining balance.

What are the requirements to travel to Aruba?

You will need both a passport and ED card. The ED (embarkation and disembarkation) card is required for all travelers, including minors. It must be filled out online within 7 days of traveling to Aruba at https://edcardaruba.aw

What currency is used in Aruba?

The local currency is the Aruba Florin, although U.S. dollars are widely accepted on the island.

Is the water safe to drink?

Yes! Since there is no source of freshwater on the island, seawater is distilled in a saltwater desalination plant. The water they produce is super pure. It meets the highest quality standard set by the World Health Organization.

How far are the Resorts from the Airport?

The drive is approximately 15 minutes.

Does the resort provide airport transfers?

No. The airport has many taxis. A one-way fare will be approximately $25. Or you can contact www.depalm.com for airport transfers, or call 1-800-766-6016.

What are some extra items to bring that you may not have thought about?

*Reef Safe Sunblock. It is very expensive to buy at the resort if you forget it. *Water Shoes--some areas with coral may get a bit rocky *Floats for the ocean. The water is calm enough to float along the beach. *Reusable Straws if you want--the resort does not offer them. *Small bills for tips.
