WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Welcome Party: Tropical, casual, boat-friendly attire and shoes. Linens, prints, and Hawaiian shirts would all be great options! Please no t-shirts, flip flops or beachwear. Ceremony and Receptions: Formal, tropical-inspired attire. Bright colors and patterns encouraged. Women may want to opt for a shoe that is flat, platform, or block-heel as the venue is primarily brick/cobblestone floors.

Those seeking the full Florida Keys experience may wish to fly into Fort Lauderdale (FLL) or Miami (MIA) and rent a car to drive to Key West. The drive down the Overseas Highway, US1, is ranked as one of the most scenic drives in the world! From Miami this drive is about 3.5 hours. For our adventurous friends, the Key West Express is also an option! Leaving out of Ft. Myers daily, the Key West Express offers a 3.5 hour ferry ride directly to Key West with a return trip available back every afternoon.

The most convenient way to get to Key West is by flying directly into Key West International Airport (EYW).American, Delta, JetBlue, United, Allegiant, and Silver Airlines all fly to Key West. Transportation from the airport to Old Town Key West is an easy 5-10 minute ride and Ubers and Lyfts are readily available on the island - no need to rent a car!

Where to Stay

January and MLK weekend can be busy in Key West so start thinking about arrangements early for the best rates and availability. Although our hotel block has a lower rate than you may find at other hotels on the island, we recommend looking at all the options the island has to offer! There are plenty of resorts, hotels, bed and breakfasts, and rental homes through Airbnb/VRBO to suit whichever kinds of accommodations best match the trip you are trying to have. We recommend staying in Old Town as it is close to all the action and ideal for guests prioritizing convenience. Staying in New Town will have more affordable accommodations and is still close to the main attractions in Key West but will require the use of Uber/Lyft to navigate the island.

There is a block of rooms at the Key West Hilton Garden Inn with the group rate locked in until 11/16/25. Please book before 11/16/25 to take advantage of the room block. The Hemingway Home and Museum

The Conch Tour Train is a great way to experience the history and culture of Key West. This 90-minute tour covers 500 years of local history. If you're in the mood for something spooky, check out the 60-minute nighttime Ghosts and Graveyards tour. You may even see some of the spirits who are known to linger around our venue!

Fort Zachary Taylor is Florida's southernmost state park and is known for its U.S. military history and present-day recreational activities. Spend time walking or biking the trails, join the daily guided tour at 11:00 AM, or rent snorkel gear from the cabana and have a beach picnic!
