Amid the lively hum of Chattanooga in 2017, Zach and Kelly were leading parallel lives in the wonderfully chaotic world of hospitality. Zach greeted hotel guests with his signature warm smile at the front desk, while Kelly, energized and caffeine-fueled, crafted coffee behind the bar in the very same building. Between work shifts and classes at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, their paths finally crossed when Kelly offered Zach a complimentary cup of coffee. That simple gesture sparked easy conversation, shared laughter, and the beginnings of something more. A few months later, Zach casually posted on social media that he was craving a beer. Kelly, intrigued by the possibility of a spontaneous adventure, liked the post, leading to a legendary nine-hour first date full of craft brews, Moscow mules, a friendly but decisive game of pool that Kelly won twice, a showing of the new Jumanji movie, and a late-night meal to cap off the adventure. Just a month later, amid a sea of green on St. Patrick’s Day, Zach whisked Kelly away to Memphis and proudly introduced her as his girlfriend. From there, their story took off across Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee, full of shared adventures, laughter, and memories. As fellow Geminis, they embraced life’s lively rhythm together, welcoming a fluffy Maine Coon named Luna, building a family filled with love, and navigating every move, milestone, and challenge side by side. Since their wedding on October 26, 2024, they have continued building a life full of love, laughter, and shared dreams. Three years after saying “I do,” Kelly and Zach invite their family to celebrate love, laughter, and all the adventures still to come as they renew their vows. Surrounded by the artful charm of Bluff View and the mountains that brought them together, where they met, got engaged, and married, they will gather with family to celebrate joy, laughter, and a love that grows deeper each year, marking the next chapter of their story.

Our Story

Travelers flying into Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) will be located approximately 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. The airport is just about 7 to 10 miles away, making it the most convenient option for guests. The drive is quick and straightforward via Highway 153 or Lee Highway, and taxis, rideshares, and rental cars are readily available at the airport.

Travelers flying into Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) will be about 120 to 130 miles from Chattanooga. The drive takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic. The route is a straightforward drive via I-75 North and I-24 West. We recommend renting a car or arranging transportation in advance and allowing extra travel time during peak traffic hours.

Travelers flying into Nashville International Airport (BNA) will be approximately 130 to 140 miles from Chattanooga. The drive takes about 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic. The route is a straightforward drive via I-24 East. We recommend renting a car or arranging transportation in advance and allowing extra travel time if arriving during peak travel hours.

Ruby Falls is a breathtaking underground waterfall hidden within Lookout Mountain. It’s a magical experience combining natural wonder, adventure, and unforgettable photo opportunities.

Just a short walk from downtown Chattanooga, Coolidge Park is a vibrant and scenic spot along the Tennessee River, perfect for strolling, relaxing, and enjoying the fall scenery. Guests can explore its beautiful gardens, ride the historic carousel, or take in views of the river and surrounding cityscape.

The Chattanooga Walking Bridge, officially called the Walnut Street Bridge, is one of the longest pedestrian bridges in the world, stretching over 2,300 feet across the Tennessee River. Built in 1891, it was originally for cars and streetcars, but now it’s a favorite spot for strolling, enjoying river views, and snapping photos—perfect for a romantic walk or a family outing.

Nestled on a bluff overlooking the Tennessee River, Bluff View Art District is one of Chattanooga's most charming and picturesque neighborhoods. This beautiful riverfront district is home to local art galleries, sculpture gardens, historic architecture, cozy cafés, and stunning views of downtown Chattanooga and the surrounding mountains. Guests can stroll along the scenic Riverwalk, enjoy a coffee and pastry at Rembrandt's Coffee House, browse local artwork, or simply relax and take in the views. Bluff View combines the beauty of nature, art, and history, making it one of our favorite places in Chattanooga and the perfect setting for our vow renewal celebration.

If you're looking for a sweet treat while exploring Chattanooga, be sure to stop by The Ice Cream Show, a local favorite located along the downtown riverfront. This spot is especially meaningful to us because Kelly worked here during college and has many fond memories of serving ice cream to locals and visitors alike. The Ice Cream Show is known for its fun atmosphere and delicious made-to-order creations. If you're not sure what to order, Kelly highly recommends the Barrel Racer, one of her all-time favorites. Whether you're taking a stroll by the river or looking for an afternoon treat, it's the perfect place to enjoy some ice cream and experience a small piece of our Chattanooga story.
