Kelly and I first met during our medical residencies in Muskegon, where long shifts, quick hallway conversations, and shared moments of teamwork slowly grew into a friendship that neither of us expected would become the start of something extraordinary. Over the years, that friendship deepened—steady, genuine, and effortless—until it quietly blossomed into love. Our story found one of its first milestones at Pere Marquette, where we shared our very first kiss on a warm July evening as the sun dipped below the horizon. In that simple, perfect moment, everything felt right, and we both sensed that life was beginning to move in a new direction. As our relationship grew, we moved in together and began building a life filled with warmth, laughter, and the comfort of being truly at home with one another. Bubba—Kelly’s loyal golden doodle long before we started dating—quickly appointed himself the heart of the household. Not long after, we added Gumbo, another golden doodle whose joyful energy made our little family feel complete. Years later, on a peaceful winter morning at Pere Marquette—the place where so many meaningful moments began—I asked Kelly to marry me. The beach was quiet, the air crisp, and the lake stretched out in stillness as she said yes. It was a full-circle moment that felt beautifully meant to be. Together, we continue building a life rooted in love, friendship, and shared dreams. If you are coming in from out of town, you can arrive in Grand Rapids by flying into Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Take a taxi, uber or other ride share option to your next destination!

If you decide to call, please mention the Uelmen/Turcic Wedding. A shuttle will be provided from the hotel to the wedding venue and back at the end of the evening. Please check back closer for you pick up times!
