Kelly knew about Kacee long before he knew about her. While in high school at Perry, Kelly along with her mother and sister would travel to Holley to watch Kelly's brother-in-law Matt coach the boys varsity basketball team. At the time Kacee wrestled at Holley, and when practice was over he would have to exit through the gym where the basketball games were held. On a few occasions Kelly would see Kacee exit through the gym and remembers once that her mother even said to her, "Kelly look at him, he is cute, you should go talk to him". But everytime the reply was always the same, "Eww, no! Besides, he probably has a girlfriend." Fast forward about 6 years and finally their paths crossed. Their first date was at Tullys (go figure) and Kelly still to this day will tell anyone that asks that for her, it was love at first sight. She had always been looking for her "Lumber-jack" and finally this was him. Kacee talked about his kids the entire dinner. He was so nervous he barely ate any of his food. (They still joke about it today) When dinner was done they said their goodbyes and before Kelly could even pull out of the parking lot Kacee sent her a text, "So when can I see you again?" And the rest is history!
