Apart from the many activities available right at Edgefield, there are many nearby options for hiking, sightseeing, and more – these are some of our favorites!
Vista House at Crown Point is an icon of the Gorge, with stunning views of the river.
Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in Oregon and just twenty minutes from Edgefield. Permits can be purchased for $2 here.
If you feel like a drive, the Historic Columbia River Highway begins just a few miles from Edgefield and has some of the best views of the Gorge.
Horsetail Falls - Ponytail Falls - Triple Falls - A 3.6-mile out-and-back hike to three of the Gorge's most scenic waterfalls. (The first waterfall can be seen from the road and the second is just a short walk away)
Beacon Rock - This 1.8-mile, out-and-back hike climbs to the top of Beacon Rock, a free-standing basalt pillar.
Angels Rest - A 4.8-mile out-and-back hike to an exposed bluff with amazing views into the Gorge.
Sugarpine Drive-in - Destination drive-in restaurant on the banks of the Sandy River (just 6 minutes from Edgefield!) with a focus on local & seasonal food. The soft-serve ice cream is a must!
McMenamin's Edgefield Power Station Pub - Pub-style food and drink located in the transformed Multnomah County Poor Farm power station.
Good Coffee - Cute cafe & roastery located in downtown Troutdale, OR
