It was a sunny day on August 14, 2017, when Jaylen and Kelsey first crossed paths. Both were walking into their first economics class, unaware that this seemingly ordinary day would become the start of something extraordinary. Kelsey, with her bright smile and an infectious laugh, had caught Jaylen’s eye as soon as she walked into the lecture hall. He, a quiet yet confident guy with a sharp wit, couldn't help but notice her energy. As the class began, the two exchanged a quick hello. Little did they know, that small interaction would be the foundation of a relationship that would stand the test of time. 		Over the next few weeks, their friendship grew as they worked together on assignments and found themselves laughing over shared jokes. They discovered that they had so much in common. As the days passed, their connection deepened into something more. By October 5, 2017, Jaylen had planned the perfect date night to take their relationship to the next level. On that evening, Jaylen decided to show Kelsey a place that had become a symbol of tradition and love for students at Georgia Southern—Sweetheart Circle. The serene beauty of the spot, with its lush greenery and peaceful surroundings, made it the perfect place for a romantic evening. As they arrived, Jaylen led Kelsey to the center of the circle. Jaylen took her hand, and asked, “Kelsey, would you like to be my girlfriend?” Her heart fluttered. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and with a smile, Kelsey said, “Yes, Jaylen. I’d love to.” 		From that night on, their relationship deepened. They complemented one another perfectly—Jaylen’s calm, steady nature balanced Kelsey’s spirited, passionate heart. By June 22, 2022, they reached a new milestone in their relationship—their first home. They had spent countless weekends planning every detail and imagining what their future together would look like. On that sunny June day, they finally unlocked the door to their new home, their shared space, filled with excitement and love. The walls were bare, but their hearts were full of the promise of building something beautiful together. 		But even after years of growing together, there was one more thing left to do. On June 29, 2024, Jaylen knew it was time to take the next step in their journey. He had been planning the perfect proposal for months—thoughtful, meaningful, and reflective of their relationship. He reached for her hand, he said, “Kelsey, every day with you has been an adventure, and I want to spend the rest of my life discovering new joys with you. Will you marry me?” Kelsey’s eyes filled with tears as she looked at the man who had become her best friend, her confidant, and her love. She didn’t hesitate. “Yes, Jaylen. Yes, I will marry you.” 		And so, their love story continued, with each step bringing them closer to forever. The promise made on Sweetheart Circle had come full circle—just as the tradition promised, they were destined to walk together for the rest of their lives. They could not be more thrilled for this next chapter of their life together to begin, and are so excited to celebrate their true love with family and friends on March 15th, 2025!
