"The Invisible String" Theory suggests that two people are connected by a metaphorical, invisible string that draws them together, regardless of distance or time apart.

From 2012-2016 we went to the same high school, but we never spoke to one another. In 2015, we both played at the Powder Puff football game, but still stood on opposite sides.

After graduation, we both went on our own separate journeys. Blake went off to the mountains and I staying in Dallas to figure out what I wanted to do as a career.

We were always liking each others post on Instagram, sometimes responding to each others stories that we posted and seeing each other on dating apps...

Life went on for quite a while, both of us trying to figure out how to navigate life. We were both focused on having fun with our friends, finishing college, and starting careers.

On September 22nd, 2022 a friend and I were in Asheville just visiting. Which I visited often. We went to an event downtown and then I saw Blake...who looked completely different since high school.

When I saw Blake I was kind of paused in the moment. I was so shocked about how cute he was. However, when my friend called him over, he completely fumbled his words and was the most awkward person. I literally could not stop thinking about how awkward that was... I was a little disappointed.

Later in the day, we ran into each other again and it was kind of unavoidable. I was bracing myself for another awkward convo (after COVID no one has social skills anymore)... but it was actually a really flirty and cute interaction.

We decided that we wanted to hang out for the rest of the event and danced together. Blake invited me to go to dinner with him and his friends that he was with. We talked all night and neither of us wanted the night to end.

When I left, I was riding in the car with my friend and told her that Blake was going to be my boyfriend. I never had felt a connection like that before.

We weren't able to see each other for 2 more weekends because Blake went to Florida to visit. When I was finally able to see him, I helped him move into his new apartment. That proves how into him I was because moving is the worst task.

As we continued to see each other, our admiration for one another grew. We were making trips up and down the mountain every weekend to see each other.

We knew very early on in our relationship that this was a forever kind of thing.

We were given so many chances to meet, but we believe that we met in divine timing. Everything worked out the way that it was supposed to. We both experienced heartbreak before we met, but that makes it more special to have found one another.

We are so excited to get married and spend the rest of our lives together.
