Kelsey and Justin met for their first date on an April evening in Shirlington, Virginia at Copperwood Tavern. Their first date was not typical - it included Kelsey’s dog Gunner, playoff hockey live-streaming, and immediate second date planning! As the two sat outside conversing, they realized they would both be attending the Washington Nationals baseball game the following afternoon and, just like that, the second date was planned. Kelsey and Justin shared that second date under the bright lights of Nats Park and looking out over the city, further getting to know each other and meeting each other's friends.&nbsp; Since then the time and many more dates have flown by. Whether it’s taking the dog for a walk,&nbsp;heading to the zoo for the day, or Justin taking Kelsey on a turkey hunt (this happened once), their relationship is easy-going and fun, a continuation of that very first (and second) date.&nbsp; After multiple years of living with roommates, changing leases and jobs, and the COVID-19 Pandemic, Kelsey and Justin were ready to move-in together. This was a big step for both of them, and one Gunner was fully behind! From that point, in a duplex off Rte 50, their love and unity grew. Kelsey’s laughter at Justin’s antics only encouraged him to produce more giggles. And Justin’s time management made Kelsey the happiest, calmest girl in the world.&nbsp; With the pandemic ended, Kelsey and Justin decided to challenge themselves and move away from home in the Summer of 2023 - seeking a change of scenery and new adventures. Little did Kelsey know, Justin was planning to propose that Winter.&nbsp; Before heading to Denver CO, on a dual-purpose trip to pick up a mattress from the Beveridge household, Justin asked Peter and Karen for their daughter's hand in marriage. In a moment Justin will remember forever, they said yes, and even texted Kelsey a “low blood sugar, he’s leaving now” cover-up.&nbsp; On December 21, 2023, on a Christmas break trip back to the DMV, Justin asked Kelsey to marry him underneath the Washington Monument, a spot they both enjoyed spending time at due to its open-air, calmness, and gravity. With teary eyes and a beautiful smile, Kelsey said “YES” and the two proceeded to a surprise celebration with friends and family at Old Ebbitt Grill. Fast forward to today and we are so excited to celebrate our marriage with you all! Your love, friendship, and support mean the world to us!

Beveridge Family Fun!The Panda House at the Smithsonian National Zoo is located on the Metro Red Line. Admission is free, but you do need a daily entry pass.

Since you're in the DC Metro area, visit the National Mall! Justin popped the question on the grounds of the Washington Monument. You can walk the Mall from the Lincoln Memorial to the US Capitol, or if you don't want that much exercise, you can take the Old Town Trolley and hop on and off at different stops.&nbsp;<a href="http://www.trolleytours.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">www.trolleytours.com</a>
