Covid-19 Update

While we understand the severity of Covid-19 is as strong as ever, we are moving forward with our rescheduled date of 09.12.2020. With the way Texas guidelines are currently set, our venue can be open and operating, therefore postponing or cancelling again is not an option we have been given. We have been assured that due to the venue’s large capacity, all guidelines, protocols and safety measures will be taken to keep each and every guest as safe as possible. Masks will be provided and required&nbsp;for the reception for dancing, getting a drink and food.&nbsp;We also ask to please respect other guests who might not be as comfortable socializing&nbsp; by maintaining social distance and wearing a mask around those you do not know.&nbsp;

We can comfortably and safely&nbsp;accommodate our full guest count while remaining under the currently required 50% capacity guidelines, but it is our intention to operate much lower than that with an estimated attendance of roughly&nbsp;70 people or less (capacity numbers below for reference).&nbsp;With that being said, please let us know if you for sure are not attending or attending as soon as possible so we can properly evaluate our capacity numbers. At this moment we are not intending on cutting our guest list if guidelines do not change.

We want to assure each and every one of you that your safety and comfortability while attending our wedding is a priority. &nbsp;Please believe us when we say we truly understand if you no longer want to attend and we do not want anyone to feel sorry or guilty for making the best safety decision for themselves and loved ones.

 







We kindly ask that if you feel ill in any way, or have been in possible contact with the virus to please refrain from attending. 

 







We understand that proceeding with this event could be deemed as a questionable decision and could possibly upset some of our friends and family. We want to remind everyone that the focus of this event is the love we have for each other and finally joining together as a unit. While we love a good celebration, we are ultimately ready to finally be The Khans. After postponing once already and no indication of things improving for 2021, we feel proceeding with our marriage so we can be done with this chapter of our lives is the best decision.

Corey & Kelsey

We both lived in the Renaissance Uptown apartments in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Throughout the summer of 2017&nbsp; I saw Corey at the pool, particularly with his groomsman Alex and his wife and son. I low key always wondered what the group dynamic was and who he was, but was always too shy to strike up a conversation. Later that summer Corey was at the pool with his groomsman Deji and Deji and I struck up a conversation. Corey later joined, but the conversation was short lived and that was the last of our&nbsp;interactions until October 2017 when we matched on the dating app Bumble.&nbsp; We talked about how we both love tacos and brunch and couldn't decide between the two for a first date so we&nbsp;settled on two dates before ever meeting.&nbsp;&nbsp;Our first date was Taco Tuesday at El Guapo and we both wanted to bail on the second date,&nbsp; but thankfully didn't. We had brunch at Mi Cocina and both had plans after with Deji and my bridesmaid&nbsp;Geovana was coming in to town. Brunch went so well we decided to keep it going with our friends and enjoyed an all day date doing various things around Downtown Tulsa. After that you could say we were inseparable until June 2018 when Phillips 66 moved Corey to Houston, Texas. For the next year our relationship was long distance and I became friends with the bartender at the Tulsa Airport Chili's.&nbsp; During that time we had some great experiences like Austin&nbsp;City Limits, a&nbsp;trip to St. Thomas to watch our friends, bridesmaid and officiant Morgan and Austin get married, Nashville and San Antonio. In June 2019 I took a job at the Landry's corporate office in Houston and thankfully closed the long distance chapter of our relationship. Fourth of July weekend and also my birthday weekend Corey got Morgan and Austin to fly down for my birthday, so I thought. I decided I wanted to have&nbsp;my birthday dinner at Brenner's on the Bayou but what I&nbsp;didn't know was&nbsp;&nbsp;Corey rented out the gazebo to pop the question. When we got to the restaurant I insisted we check in for our reservation, even though we were early and the hostess proceeded to tell us how we could walk the grounds except the gazebo because it was rented for wedding (poor Corey). We decided to get drinks before walking the grounds and then Corey had to drag me to the gazebo because I didn't want to ruin someones wedding. He finally got me to the gazebo to pop the question and had a photographer hiding to capture the moment.&nbsp; A big thank you to Morgan and Austin for flying down to be there for the big moment and to Deji for keeping the ring safe so I wouldn't find it during our move!&nbsp;

George Bush is about 20 minutes to the venue and is the major airport in Houston for all major airlines except Southwest.&nbsp;

United has direct&nbsp;flights to IAH from Kansas City,&nbsp;Tulsa,&nbsp;Northwest Arkansas,&nbsp;Little Rock and Cincinnati.&nbsp;



Delta has direct flights to IAH from Cincinnati.

George Bush Intercontinental Airport

Hobby is about 25 minutes to the venue and is the airport for Southwest Airlines.Southwest has direct flights from Tulsa, Kansas City, Little Rock.&nbsp;
