Yellowstone National Park
After devastating flooding closed the north entrance to Yellowstone, the other three entrances are still open. The west and north entrances are the closest to us, but since the north is closed, the west entrance is accessed by driving through Big Sky. The south entrance leads to Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole and the east entrance takes you to Cody, Wyoming.
Yellowstone Hot Springs
A relaxing end to the day if you’re leaving Yellowstone from the north entrance.
Museum of the Rockies
This museum is known for their extensive collection of dinosaur fossils which include a fully mounted T. rex skeleton.
Outlaw Brewing
Our favorite brewery in the area! The brewery itself does not serve food, but they do have rotating food trucks outside.
Mountains Walking Brewery
Genuine Ice Cream
Please don’t go to Dairy Queen, this ice cream shop is so much better!
Storm Castle Cafe
This is our favorite breakfast spot! They are only open Thursday-Sunday and usually have a wait to get in for a table, but it’s so worth the wait! They also serve lunch food, but we’ve always went for breakfast.
Grotto Falls Trail
This hike is about 2.4 miles out and back, a very mellow hike with hardly no elevation change.
Palisade Falls
This trail is even shorter than Grotto Falls. It’s just over a mile out and back and this trail is actually paved!
Bozeman Brewery
Our second favorite brewery in the area! They have a great selection of beer and very sweet staff.
Drinking Horse Mountain Trail
This is a short hike with amazing views of the valley and surrounding mountain ranges.
College M Trail
This trail is right across the highway from Drinking Horse Mountain trail. This hike also gives you amazing views of the valley!
