Kelsey and Ryan are high school sweethearts. They grew up together going to the same high school in Lincolnton, North Carolina, but they ran in different circles. When high school first began for Kelsey, her and Ryan had a brief moment in time together but time was not ready for them yet.

A few years later, fate brought them back together when they both got their first jobs at a local restaurant. Kelsey and Ryan became close friends and love may have been up in the air. However, the same day that Ryan ended a long-term relationship, Kelsey was just beginning a new (very brief) one, it looked like they were destined to stay just friends. But Fate was only testing them.

The day they recognized their true feelings for each other was the day that Ryan returned to work after a car accident. Although Ryan had no major injuries, his hand still had splinters in them from the briars that caught his fall. As Kelsey insisted on helping him pull the splinters out, their hands touched — and it was quite literally electrifying.

Their affection for each other has since grown into a love that is unbreakable. They are both different people than their high school selves but their love has continued to grow with them — making them both stronger.

Now as they prepare for their wedding and look back at their story, they realize that their love has been preparing them for this moment their whole lives.
