The story of Kelsey and Johnny started like any good love story, neither person was looking for a relationship. Some could say it was “meant-to-be” or maybe an unforetold prophecy, but it could have been as simple as being in the right place at the right time. All the great love stories begin with a chance encounter, one where two unsuspecting people cross paths and begin the opening chapter to their Love Story.

Kelsey and Johnny first met at a bowling alley. She was working and Johnny was on one of the bowling league teams there. The chance encounter that brought them together happened in the first few weeks of Kelsey working at the bowling alley. She was bringing drinks out to the bowling lanes and came to the table where Johnny and his bowling team were sitting. There had been no real magical spark between them at this point but the happy accident that came next changed everything. Johnny raised his hands to cheer for a teammate getting a strike at the exact same moment that Kelsey was placing a beer bottle onto the table. Johnny wound up soaked with beer while Kelsey’s cheeks turned red. The spark between them came at this moment. Johnny profusely apologized and scrambled to find some cleaning supplies for the spilled beer while Kelsey continuously apologized about spilling beer all over him. It was a battle of who was going to win the “apology war”. The whole beer spilling event and who was going to apologize turned into a running joke between them. The connection had been made through that happy accident.

Slow is smooth and smooth is fast could describe their budding relationship. They became friends first, and soon after best friends. Their love grew each day as they ventured out to new restaurants, going on walks, concerts and plays, and other traveling adventures. They made a lot of wonderful memories together. It was on one of these traveling adventures that Johnny proposed to Kelsey and forever entwined their lives together.

Under a thick canopy of trees set back from the dirt road stood a small cabin with a little wooden bridge that went over a small brook. It was here at Hocking Hills Ohio that Johnny proposed to Kelsey. After unpacking and settling in around the campfire with a couple well deserved vacation beers (the same kind that Kelsey had spilled on Johnny during the “Happy Accident”) Johnny lured Kelsey to that little wooden bridge over the brook for a dance. They danced to the song that they had deemed “theirs” and swayed together slowly, looking into each other’s eyes and smiling. Little rays of sunshine shown through the canopy of leaves above them, making the setting perfect for what was to come next. Johnny got down on one knee and asked Kelsey if she would make him the happiest man and marry him. Tears streaked down Kelsey’s cheeks before he had even finished asking the question. Kelsey said YES!

Ever since that wonderous day they have been inseparable. Many changes and new experiences followed, one being a bucket-list worthy trip to Maine where they took the Stephen King Tour and ate fresh lobster on the coast. They have moved from the city to out in the country and love every minute of it together.

Our Story is a tale of a “Happy Accident” that brought two people together and began their Love Story.
