May 2013- Nick graduates from Cornell College, where he played baseball and studied education, and starts teaching and coaching at Anamosa High School.

May 2014- Kelsey graduates and moves back home for the summer, where she works full-time at REM Iowa, a living facility for adults with intellectual disabilities and developmental disorders. Nick also happens to be working night shifts, along with teaching and coaching, (because he was crazy) at REM Iowa. They meet at 6am in the morning in late May, when Nick was leaving and Kelsey was arriving.

June 2014- Nick gets the guts to ask Kelsey on a date. They go to Parlor City in downtown Cedar Rapids. Clearly, the first date went well.

July 2014- They make it official. Well, actually, they don't really know when it was "officially official", so they just decided that July 3rd would be their anniversary.

August 2014 to May 2016- Kelsey heads to the University of Iowa to get her Master's in Speech-Language Pathology; Kelsey and Nick continue to date. Nick puts up with the grad-school version of Kelsey, which leads Kelsey to believe that he's worth keeping around.

July 2017- Nick and Kelsey set out on a romantic kayak trip on the Mississippi River by her family's cabin. Kelsey is suspicious that Nick might be up to something, but thinks "there is NO WAY he'd bring a ring in a kayak on the Mississippi River". During said trip, Nick says he "has to pee really bad", so they pull over to a sandbar. Nick sits in his kayak; Kelsey is wondering why the heck he isn't walking into the woods to pee. All of a sudden, Nick gets down on his knee and it all makes sense.

May 12th, 2018- BEST DAY EVER.
