O’Malley’s Irish Pub in Weston, Missouri, is hidden almost 60 feet underground in the cellars of what was, in the19th century, the Weston Brewing Company. The space has functioned as brewery on and off since its 1842 inception and though it was forced to close when Prohibition was signed into law, the brewery was reopened for a short stint in the late 1990s
Only 40 minutes north of Kansas City, Weston Bend State Park offers secluded picnic sites, a campground and scenic views of the Missouri River from trails and an overlook accessible to persons with disabilities. There are 10.7 miles of trails, including a 3-mile paved bicycle trail.
The Bee Creek Shelter, a converted tobacco barn, is an enclosed shelter that can accommodate up to 125 guests. There is also an open shelter in the day use area that can accommodate 50 guests.
McCormick and Holladay Distilling Co. sits right outside of Weston MO. For over 160 years visitors can tour the grounds and see Missouri Bourbon being made. Tours last around 90 minutes, there is also a tasting room as well.
Near O’Malley’s Pubin downtown Weston is Pirtle Winery which has won wine awards in both national and international competitions. Including the INDY International, Mazer Cup International, and Missouri Governor’s Cup. They offer tasting a various times throughout the day.
