See the lights in the Winter, try a Mary Mountain's cookie, or visit one of the many restaurants or breweries while walking around Old Town. A fun fact is the Disneyland's Main Street USA is actually based off the layout of Old Town Fort Collins. There are many different restaurants to try, and you can't go wrong if you wander into a spot after walking around. A few of our favorites to try are: The Social (a speakeasy good for happy hour drinks and appetizers), The Rio Grande (great Mexican food with killer margaritas and chips and queso), Urban Egg (a great brunch spot), Lucile's Creole Cafe (delicious beignets and fresh-squeezed OJ), Coopersmith's Brewpub (for shuffleboard and pool with good bar food), Elliot's Martini Bar (they have dessertinis that are delicious), and Illegal Pete's (a great casual Mexican restaurant). If you travel to the north end of Old Town, you can even try a couple of our favorite food trucks that are always stationed near College and Conifer: La Campechana and Carniceria Las Delicias (or their storefront Las Delicias a little further north). Visit Old Town Fort Collins

Schedule a tour in advance to see how the famous beer is made and taste test the beer. Slide down the slide to wrap up the tour. Then enjoy some Colorado sun while eating from a food truck sitting nearby. Other breweries to try: Odell Brewing, Equinox Brewing, The Mayor of Old Town (100 beers/ciders/seltzers on tap at a time with a great pretzel), or Maxline (slightly further from Old Town).

New Belgium Brewing Company

Visit Horsetooth Reservoir, with a picnic overlooking the water or just bring a morning coffee to enjoy while viewing the reservoir. Stand up paddle board if the weather is nice, hike to Arthur Rock, or hike to Horsetooth Falls if you want a little more exercise with your view. They strictly enforce parking passes, but you can purchase a day pass for about $10/day.

Rent a bike and bike around the trails of Fort Collins. There are many beautiful trails in Fort Collins that often completely avoid crossing any city streets. The trail routes are listed at the website below. There are plenty of bike shops around town too that also say they rent out their bikes! Pictured is the Poudre River trail that runs through Fort Collins, which is part of the race course for the Half Marathon that runs from Horsetooth to New Belgium each year in April.
