Although the Sorting Hat didn't put them in the same house when they were both Buckeyes at Ohio State, Kelsey and Ryan had a lot in common from the beginning. Both hailing from the Cleveland area, they spent weekends rooting for the Browns (maybe even at the same bars!) and hanging out with the same group of friends.

After spending years leading nearly parallel lives, they finally met in Columbus in 2014. Kelsey had just returned to Columbus after a three-year stint with Teach for America in New Jersey and Ryan had just moved in with some of Kelsey's mutual friends. While it wasn't in the Hogwarts dining room, they finally crossed paths and met during a progressive party.

A year and a half later Ryan proposed with a golden snitch while on vacation in Cozumel, Mexico!

The rest is history!
