Alex and I met in our junior year of college at SUNY ESF. We had a large group of mutual friends that got along so well and took many of the same classes. I was always so excited to sit next to Alex and flirt in our Ornithology class, but Alex made that pretty hard by never showing up to class.

As soon as we graduated, and no longer lived in the same city, we started dating. This quickly became a trend throughout our relationship. Over the last 9 years Alex and I have lived anywhere from 1 hour apart to 12 hours apart, never in the same city. As frustrating and gruesome as this seemed at times, it allowed us to grow incredibly strong both as a couple and independently. We have spent the last 9 years making so many memories traveling all over the US and found a love of hiking, exploring, and learning new hobbies together (its a bonus if Skittles is involved).

Alex, Skittles, and I are so excited to finally start our new life together in Auburn while we continue to fix up our first home.
