“How We Met”

Dalton and Kelsey remember first meeting in 2007, during their freshman year of high school, though their families had known each other for years. Their friendship began at Animas Creek roping arena, where local families gathered to practice and spend time together. They shared common interests and were both active in 4-H, FFA, and showing animals.

Although they reconnected during college, their career paths led them in different directions. Despite this, they maintained their friendship, catching up throughout the years and making plans when they could.

Eventually, life brought them back together in an unexpected but meaningful way. After years of friendship, it became clear that their bond had grown into something more. The exact details of who pursued whom to make things “official” are a point of playful disagreement, but ultimately, they chose each other.
