Am I allowed to take photos

We’re having an unplugged ceremony, which means no phones, tablets, or cameras—please! We kindly ask that all devices stay tucked away so everyone can be fully present with us during this special moment. This is a firm rule, and if a phone does make an appearance, you’ll be asked to put it away. And yes, if you’re caught with a phone in hand in the ceremony photos, you will be edited to be holding a chicken. Don’t test us. However! Photos and phones are welcome and encouraged at the reception. Snap away, take videos, hit the dance floor with your camera roll open—we’d love to see the night through your lens!

Can I bring my children?

We adore your kids—but this time, it’s adults-only (with a few tiny exceptions). Due to space limitations and the reception being more of a grown-up party vibe, we’re unable to accommodate guests under 16. We hope this gives you a chance to kick back, relax, and enjoy a night out—maybe even with both hands free! Any invited children will be listed on your RSVP.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Due to limited venue space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests specifically named on the invitation. We truly wish we could invite everyone, but we hope you understand and know how much we’re looking forward to celebrating with you!

How do I RSVP

You can RVSP thru the wedding website. If you run into any issues please feel free to contact the wedding couple.

What date should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that you please reply by June 19, 2025

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be held outdoors, featuring a breathtaking view of the North Saskatchewan River. The reception will follow in a custom dome tent, with the bar and bathrooms located just steps away outside—perfect for easy access between dancing, drinks, and fresh air!

Is there parking available near the wedding venue?

For guests within driving distance of the venue, there is free on-site parking.

Is transportation provided to and from the wedding venue?

Our venue is a little outside the city near the airport, and we know that Ubers or taxis can get pricey—especially after a night of celebrating. For anyone planning to enjoy a few drinks or simply wanting to skip the drive, we’ve got you covered. A guest shuttle will be departing from the Sandman Signature Edmonton South Hotel before the ceremony and will also run return trips later in the evening. More details on timing and sign-up coming soon!

What is the dress code for the wedding?

The dress code is Garden Cocktail Attire—a stylish mix of cocktail wear with a fun, outdoor-friendly twist. Not sure what that means? Don’t worry—we’ve got a full breakdown in the next Q&A to help guide your outfit choices!

What does “Garden Cocktail Attire” mean?

Think elevated cocktail wear with an outdoor-friendly twist. Since our ceremony will take place outside—on grass and possibly uneven ground—please dress to impress and stay comfortable. It’ll be the peak of summer, so expect some heat! For the ladies: Floaty sundresses, cocktail dresses, midi or maxi gowns, elegant jumpsuits—basically, anything that says “I’m here to celebrate, but also not fall into the lawn.” Wedges, block heels, or cute flats are your best friends (leave the stilettos at home unless you want to help aerate the venue). For the gents: A full suit? Love it. But at the very least: dress pants or slacks, a button-up shirt, and a light blazer. No polos, no jeans. Ties are optional, swagger is required. Expect sunshine, good vibes, and bonus points for pastels, prints, and anything with garden-party flair.

Will there be an open bar?

We’ll be offering a toonie bar for our guests. Drinks will be available for $2 each—a small contribution to help us celebrate responsibly and joyfully. Don’t forget to bring a few coins or small bills. Cheers to a memorable night!
