It all started the summer of 2017. We already knew of each other through mutual friends, but then our friend circles started to intertwine, and we started hanging out more. James then asked me out on our first date in June.

Next thing you know, I was starting my senior year at Virginia Tech, and James was visiting me in Blacksburg and going to football games.

And some more football games...

We continued dating throughout my senior year and before I knew it, I graduated and jumped into the real world.

I moved back home to Richmond, where we both lived. From then on, he was my forever plus one.

Right at the beginning of the pandemic, we bought our first house together!

And then shortly after, we adopted our greatest joy, Reece!

Fast forward 2 more years, and he popped the question!
