Lyft Code
We have your Lyft rides covered to and from Higuera Ranch for our wedding on Saturday! Everyone who does not want to drive to the ranch can enter KIMBROUGH2024 in the Lyft Pass section of the 'Payment' tab in the app menu. We will have QR codes on tables at the Welcome Party Friday that everyone will be able to scan in preparation to order Lyft's on Saturday.
Are you doing a room block at a hotel in SLO?
We have a room block at The Wayarer by Hilton for Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9! Please book through the website below by April 17th to secure the rate. The booking link is https://group.tapestrycollection.com/dt2kpy or you can also type in the code 901 under special rates/group code if you are entering through the main website. If you click over to the "Places to Stay" tab after this Q + A section you will see the hotel at the top of the page and will be able to click the link directly. The link will take you to the "Ohanlon Kimbrough" rates and allow you to book.
Are kids invited to the wedding?
Yes! Your invitations will include the wording "family" implying we want to see your kids. When you RSVP through our website you will see the names of each child to accept or decline for them. The fun thing about a destination wedding is making it a family trip or just a parents getaway. Either way we support everyone's decisions and are so excited!
How do I know if I have a plus one?
We are very fortunate that Higuera Ranch has plenty of space to allow everyone to bring a plus one. We have tried to include everyone's significant other's names on the RSVP. If it just says "guest" while RSVP'ing you can accept and add the person's name or decline a plus one. For example: Mr. John Smith will just appear on the invitation because we did not add the word "guest" to any invitations. When John RSVP's it will prompt an option to accept a guest and add their name or decline a guest. If you have any questions please reach out to us via our wedding email kelseyandkenny2024@gmail.com or contact us at (619) 507-2801.
What is the dress code for the welcome party and wedding?
For the welcome party we would like everyone to dress in "cocktail" attire. By this we mean a skirt or dress (short or long) for the ladies (think an introduction to summer attire since it is the beginning of June). For the gentlemen this means pants and a nice button up (no suit needed!). Most importantly, we want everyone to be comfortable on Friday.
For the wedding we want "formal" or "semi-formal" attire. This means we'd like the ladies in their favorite mid-leg to floor length dress or gown. For the gentlemen this means you can wear a two-piece or a three-piece suit (we love a bowtie if your heart desires). Our dress code is not black tie! Your fanciest dress and a tuxedo is not required unless you personally want to wear that.
Does San Luis Obispo have an airport?
Yes! San Luis Obispo has an airport that is located very close to the hotels downtown and our venue. United, Alaska, and American Airlines all fly in and out of San Luis Obispo Airport. If you’re traveling with us from San Diego and looking to skip the drive you’re in luck! Both Alaska and United airlines have short and direct flights. Other cities that have non-stop flights include Dallas- Fort Worth, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco to hopefully accommodate all of our out of town guests.
Will there be an open bar at the wedding?
If you're even asking this question, we aren't sure whose side of the family or friend group you are apart of. Please be sure to cleanse your livers before June 8, and the open bar will be ready to cleanse your souls.
Why San Luis Obispo?
Kenny went to college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and since then we try to travel back at least once a year for a weekend getaway. It was very hard to search for wedding venues outside of the beautiful San Diego and place we call home. However, we wanted a "destination style" wedding and we have always loved SLO. It has all the restaurants, bars, shops and charisma of a big city while maintaining a humble small town vibe.
Are wedding details on this website finalized?
Wedding invitations have been sent out with the finalized details, therefore this website is almost finalized! We are finishing up organizing transportation for our guests if they do not want to drive. We will have details on that very soon, so please check back. Again, if you have any questions please reach out to us via our wedding email at kelseyandkenny2024@gmail.com or reach out to us via phone at (619) 507-2801. Please don't be shy and hesitate to contact us with anything you may want to ask or need!
